Distance Education Accrediting Body (Council for the promotion of online education accreditation) is an internationally recognized, independent and private education accrediting body. It operates world-wide, granting educational accreditation only to eligible higher educational institutions. The accreditation service provided by Distance Education Accrediting Body is focused on an in-depth review on teaching and learning processes, in particular institutional reviews and program validation which, among other things, have examined teaching and learning processes in the institutions and the impact on the quality of degree programs.Our Approach:
At Distance Education Accrediting Body, we believe that there should be system-wide quality assurance for all the online educational institutions involved in the delivery of higher education. Whether or not an online institution has its own quality assurance mechanisms, there should also be a third party that ascertains the existence or effectiveness of internal academic processes and standards. Distance Education Accrediting Body acts as that third party. After a stringent validation process in which we examine the educational standards set by the institution, we make sure that the educational institution is eligible to provide online education by the nationally and internationally set benchmarks. We believe that it is advantageous for all the online institutions to go through the experience of detailed examination of their educational standards through the validation process, since it helps them to improve the quality of education that they provide.Our Focus:
The focus of Distance Education Accrediting Body lies in the following three steps of our validation process:1. The effectiveness of the educational processes, which are in practice by the educational institution, is validated. Questions such as how closely the institution has tested its own system effectiveness and also the questions like how far the students have found them effective are answered in this step.
2. In this step we pay attention to the weaknesses (if any) that are identified during the first step of the validation process. This may include uneven commitment or unawareness of the quality process.
3. In this step, we provide our review to the educational institution including useful suggestions to augment their educational standard and to meet our set criteria.
